The structure and texture of corals was studied to generate the form and surface of the building. The Spa is envisaged as an opaque gemstone which sits beyond the peninsular of a 7* hotel in an oasis of water providing a unique and exclusive island retreat.

The initial experience of the spa provides a theatrical moment for the privileged guest arriving by boat from the sea. Each visitor is brought into the seawater filled internal courtyard, from where they will embark on a journey through the ramping, sloping form of the building.
